Our Story
"If you build it, they will come:" Our own Field of Dreams

Welcome to Blueberry Hill Farms! When we purchased the land for the farm in 2021, we were acting on a dream we’ve had for a long time. When our children were young, every year we would take them to one of the u-pick blueberry farms in the area. We loved nearly everything about it (except maybe buzzing bees!)—picking straight off the plants, being out in nature, and the instant reward of tasty, juicy berries. We went home and ate all we could hold and threw the rest directly into the freezer to enjoy all year. Our children are now grown and starting families of their own, and we wanted to provide the same wonderful experience for our grandchildren and our community that we've loved for many years.

We have transformed empty pastureland into acres of blueberry bushes to share with the mid-Missouri area. With Newell’s expertise as a retired soil scientist, the farm is thriving. Suzanne’s background as a professional musician is represented in the shape of the west patch of berries. From a bird’s eye view, you will see a strong resemblance to a grand piano! We already have plans for expansion and will be here for you to enjoy for many years to come.
